How the Ipad 2 can help us

So the Ipad 2 has hit the market! This is one of the most exciting product launches in recent history. People lined up the night before, more than 12 hours before the stores opened to be the first owners of the new Ipad.

The benefits are vast with this new machine. Many companies have integrated this new product into their daily workplace quite well. not only does it offer a multitude of applications from Apple that streamline the work we do including graphic design, idea generation, and presentation, it offers mobility to all of these.

Apple has increased the graphics so much that they are faster and clearer than the leading PC. This allows our designers to deal with the newest technologies and will allow them to give our clients a unique view at what we offer and what we have designed for them.

Mobility is also a large key to our business. the ability for our designers to walk around with technology and collaborate with the other aspects of the advertising design process will greatly increase productivity.

How is Apple affected by Steve Jobs health?

Its finally time for the company to come clean about its fearless leaders health. Over the past few years we have seen the ins and outs with Steve Jobs. He has left before due to health problems, then came back, supposedly healed. At the start of this new year we heard of his health woes yet again.

Many heard that he would be taking yet another leave of absence from the company. His health is his own private matter, as a memo to the public sent from Apple stated in late January, but the shareholders of the company also deserve to know their fate as well.

When he left a few years ago the stock prices fell a bit, knowing that the genius that started the company would not be working his magic any longer. He returned after a leave of absence and we have seen Apple launch into juggernaut status. With stock prices soaring we wonder if he can hold on a little longer. We shareholders at least deserve some explanation as to what the future holds.

Steve Jobs ousts radiation app

An Israeli company has created an application for the Iphone that allows you to monitor your exposure to radiation. This is a tool seen by many as an important aspect of life as we are currently under a radiation scare with what we are seeing happen in Japan after the earthquake and tsunami.

Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs, has publicly stated that Apple has no interest in this application. It would seem as though he were just pushing this small company around, but there is another reason for his attitude towards this app.

The company that created this app seems to have an intention of making profit off of the recent disaster in Japan. They are not creating this as an outlet for aid, but as an opportunity of profit for themselves. Not only will they continue the panic of radiation poisoning in Japan but will bring a scare to those in the US that believe that the radiation will travel across to the US.

Apple's Competitors Relish Competition

Motorola, a competing electronics company, has publicly stated that they believe that having Apple as a competitor is an advantage to the market. They believe that Apple's high quality products have set a bar that all other manufacturers must meet to turn a profit.

"I think the opportunity is there [to take on Apple]," said Andy Hooper, Motorola's director for converged experiences and software in Europe & MEA.

These competitors have embraced their rival and have outlined a plan to keep up if not surpass their quality. We need this in our business. The world of advertising has become a cutthroat market of good technology and better ideas.
